My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?

Psalm 22:1

My God, our God, why have you abandoned
Your beloved world? Don't you see what we
Do without you here? Have you forgotten
The mess we - I - make, when you leave us be?
But is this the prayer to offer you?
How tired you must be of these complaints!
As we relax in our homes, watch the news,
And ignore our role in this grief and pain.
Oh God, why have we abandoned your world? 
Forgotten our once-shared humanity, 
And our calling to work together toward 
Agape, justice, true community?
Who abandoned whom? My restless prayers
Open my eyes to your forsaken tears.
